How do I become a Superhero rider?

Every young person needs a Superhero! To be a Ride 4 Youth Superhero, all you have to do is raise $250 by inviting family and friends to support local youth. You can join an existing team or fly solo by creating your own team. Each team is asked to raise $250/per team member. For example, a team of 8 Superheroes would be asked to raise $2,000. If you do not already have a Crowdrise account, you will be prompted to create one. It’s free and it takes 30 seconds. As a Ride 4 Youth Superhero, you will receive a discounted registration fee, your choice of a free Ride 4 Youth t-shirt OR bike jersey and a youth-designed superhero cape!  Also, for every $250 raised you will get one entry for the Superhero raffle, making you eligible to win a free bike donated by World of Bikes!  You can sign up to become a Superhero in one of two ways:

  1. Are you planning to ride a bike on October 7th?  If so, complete your on-line registration by clicking here:  When you complete the registration, be sure to check the box that says “Ride 4 Youth Super Hero ($15).”  You will receive an e-mail instructing you on how to become a Super Hero.
  2. If you are NOT planning to ride on October 7th, you can click on this link and choose “Join a Team" or “Create Your Own Team":

I'm not much of a biker, but I'd still love to get involved. How can I do so?

The ride runs on volunteers and we would LOVE to have you. Volunteer sign-ups can be found here.

You can also sign up as a virtual rider ($20) and "participate" from the comfort of your own couch.

Other ways to get involved include: donations, sponsorships, or helping a Superhero rider reach their pledge goal.

What are the safety requirements during the ride?

All riders MUST wear a helmet (no exceptions), follow all of the rules of the road - obey all traffic signs and signals, and no headphones are permitted while riding. All routes (except the 12 mi route) are on roads, so make sure that you ride carefully and keep an eye out for traffic.

What happens if it rains the day of the event?

We will be riding rain or shine!
